How Much Does it Cost to Raise a Child?

Today we are publishing some content relevant to those of you embarking on the wonderful journey of raising a family.

We have been doing quite a bit of planning work with younger families recently and have gathered some fairly eye-opening data on how much families can expect to spend to get their junior through college.  Bottom line:  with private schooling and college included, you are looking at over a $1.0 million in today’s dollars.   Our brief report provides the detail.

And while I have you, if you have some better data to share with us, please do so.  We are particularly interested to learn more about what working parents are paying to keep junior off the streets during the summer and how much is being spent on the proverbial after-school activities, tutoring, etc.  Thanks!
