We just received notification that we are now fully GIPS-compliant. Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) are a set of voluntary standards used by investment managers throughout the world to ensure the full disclosure and fair representation of their investment performance. The goal of the standards is to make it possible for investors to compare one firm’s performance against that of another firm. We have been using these standards for some years now but had not yet undertaken the (year-long!) process of having an independent firm verify our numbers. We are strong believers in the GIPS movement, as we value transparency and objectivity in all that we do for our clients.

The Global Investment Performance Standards were created by the CFA Institute, a global association for investment management professionals, and are governed by the GIPS Executive Committee.
